Job Description

Choppies Supermarket Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Deli Manager to lead a vibrant department. Key Responsibilities:
  • Merchandising Management: Execute planograms, ensure product availability, and optimize sales and margins.
  • Administration: Manage stock turnover, budget performance, and maintain accurate records.
  • Systems: Conduct stock counts, resolve out-of-stock issues, and utilize operating systems for reporting.
  • Staff Management: Communicate targets, ensure policy compliance, and adjust staff schedules as needed.
  • Customer Service: Address customer queries, maintain service standards, and ensure operational readiness.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Uphold hygiene standards, manage sanitization processes, and implement cleaning schedules.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in a Deli department (retail/restaurant).
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant certification in Business or related field.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (certification may be completed after hiring).
  • Strong organizational, supervisory, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Medical report and public clearance.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow complex recipes.
