Marshlands Lodges and Apartments Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of Zambia (UNZA), is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team under the Business Development Office. Job Purpose:

To plan, monitor, coordinate, and manage procurement and supply activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting the company’s operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Budget & Compliance:

• Assist in preparing and controlling the annual procurement budget
• Ensure all purchases comply with the Public Procurement Act & Regulations
• Develop and implement procurement policies & procedures

✔ Supplier & Contract Management:

• Source, interview, and negotiate with suppliers for best terms
• Establish credit facilities and secure supply agreements
• Review purchase orders and contracts for accuracy and compliance

✔ Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely supplier payments
• Submit situational, quarterly, and annual procurement reports for management decisions

Qualifications & Experience:

✅ Education:

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
• CIPS Foundation Diploma or Advanced Diploma (Level 5)
• Computer literacy (MS Office, procurement software)

✅ Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement experience
• Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply (ZIPS)
